"Ας εξορίση επί ζωής των τους λαοπλάνους. Αυτοί είναι άξιοι και μεγαλύτερης τιμωρίας, επειδή διαφθορείς και προδότες της Πατρίδος. Εις τον τόπο μας δεν υπάρχει παρά ένα μονάχα μεγάλο κόμμα, ή δια να πούμε καλύτερα, ένας μονάχος μεγάλος σωρός από ανθρώπους της κυβέρνησης, διηρεμένος σε δύο στάσεις, Κυβερνητικοί μεν με επάγγελμα, Κυβερνητικοί δίχως επάγγελμα. Τα επαγγέλματα δε φτάνουνε δια όλους, κι εκείνοι που μένουν απ? όξον, γαυγίζουν εκείνους όπου είναι μέσα.
Κι εσύ δύστυχε Λαέ, δεν γνωρίζεις ούτε τις αληθινές ου χρείες..."
