Η συγγραφέας Έρικα Αγγέλικα Γαρμπή γεννήθηκε στη Σουηδία και μένει μόνιμα στην Αθήνα. Σπούδασε δημοσιογραφία και σήμερα εργάζεται στο χώρο των γραφικών τεχνών, συγκεκριμένα στον τομέα της μεταξοτυπίας. Τα δύο πρώτα της βιβλία, "Καλοκαίρι στην πόλη" (Τετράγωνο, 2011) και "Δέλτα Χι και ο μηχανισμός" (Ιπτάμενο Κάστρο, 2012), έτυχαν ιδιαίτερης αποδοχής και αγάπης από το παιδικό αναγνωστικό κοινό. Συμμετείχε στο πρόγραμμα "Φιλαναγνωσία" του Εθνικού Κέντρου Βιβλίου και είναι μέλος του Κύκλου του Ελληνικού Παιδικού Βιβλίου. Είναι παντρεμένη και μητέρα δύο παιδιών.
